Sea Frost's Shore Assist 110 volt systems (also available in 220 volt and 50 Hz) are designed to maintain the boat's refrigerator /freezer box at a set temperature via a thermostat when the boat is dockside. All systems are rated for tropical conditions. Designed to operate independently of the Engine Drive, these units can also be installed along with the Engine Drive or added later. Ducted air cooling is offered on the smaller models (SA-I and SA-II). When the boat is left unattended, air cooling offers reliabity over water cooling which could be stopped by weeds and flotsam restricting the water intake.

Our Shore Assist compressors are easily operated from power provided by a properly sized, high quality 12 voly to 110 volt volt inverter and battery bank , providing an emergency back-up system. The energy conversion is 3.5 to 4.5 BTUs per watt hour.


The SA-I is fitted to a sigle block or simgle holdover plate. Air cooling is ducted to allow installation in a confined space.

The SA-II is used in multiple plate series systems. Air cooling is ducted to allow installation in a confined space.

The SA-III is the largest capacity Shore Assist. It is water cooled to maintain a compact size and to allow installation in a confined area. It is used with multiple plate systems and is standard with a twin valve system. The SA-III should be considered over an SA-II in a boat withe a generator as the rate of cooling is faster and greater benefit will result during the generator's operation.
