The Sea Frost BD Direct Evaporator System is the perfect option for small, well insulated refrigerator boxes where simplictiy and affordability are of concern. It is an advanced design, 12 or 24 volt D.C., pre-charged refrigeration conversion kit which required no special tools to install. The unit features the popular Danfos hermetic compressor preset to maximum speed for highest efficiency and rapid cooling; it is mounted in a compact fiberglass housung with ducted air cooling for installation in confined locations and total prottection of the compressor and re;ated parts. The polished stainless steel evaporator plate can be mounted on a shelf, wall or ceiling and offers the highest resistance to damage and corrosion. Optional ice-making trays are available.

The BD incorporates an oversized, brushless D.C. fan and efficient copper and aluminium finned condenser. Aeroquip® brass quick connects on pre charged, 12-foot copper lines make it easy to install. R-134a service ports prevents charging with the wrong refrigrant.

The system refrigerates up to 12 cubic feet, depending on insulation and climate. The 12 voly current draw is between 4.5 and 6 amp/hr. depending on climate. The compressor is rated at 650 BTUs per hour with refrigerant evaporating at 23 degrees F.(-5 degreed C.), and 225 BTUs per hour at -11 degrees F(-23 degrees C).
